ABU DHABI – The government of the UAE has always come up with innovative ideas to attract more people, such as introducing the new Blue Residency Visa.
In this regard, the government has disclosed that they will issue a special visa to individuals who are involved with environmental protection. The new visa is named the ‘Blue Residency’ and individuals can get the residency for 10 years.
Furthermore, the visa will be issued to those who contribute to boosting the air quality, green technology fields, and environmental protection.
Additionally, during a meeting on Wednesday, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, stated that the economy of the UAE was connected with a healthy environment.
The UAE has announced the year 2024 as the year of sustainability and the introduction of blue residency is part of it. The regulators are welcoming all the residents to participate in the sustainability practices actively.
Typically, the UAE gives residency for two years, however, the government introduced the Golden Visa for investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, top students, and humanitarians, which is valid for 10 years. After the successful implementation of the Golden Visa, the authorities introduced Green Visas for skilled workers, freelancers, investors, and entrepreneurs which is valid for five years.
The Blue Residency comes as a breath of fresh air for people who are keen on protecting the environment and are well aware of the consequences of environmental degradation.
