Karachiites get public holiday on occasion of Urs

KARACHI: Citizens of Karachi will have Saturday as a public holiday.

Mayor Murtaza Wahab on Friday announce there will be a public holiday on Saturday (June 29) on the occasion of the annual Urs of Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Karachi’s patron saint.

All public and private offices that fall within Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s jurisdiction will observe the holiday, while essential services such as petrol pumps, hospitals and dispensaries will remain open.
