KARACHI: A business magnate returned home four days after he went missing in the provincial capital of Sindh.
Zulfiqar Ahmed, the CEO of Cola Next, returned safely to his home in Karachi days after he was abducted by armed men. His family had previously said police had refused to register a First Information Report (FIR) into the abduction.
Ahmed and his partner Qaiser were both abducted at gunpoint on Mauripur Road in Keamar, family sources said, adding that Qaiser was released shortly after but Ahmed went missing prompting his family to seek judicial intervention.
Karachi Police chief Javed Alam Odho announced the formation of two investigative teams to look into the case.
It is worth mentioning that the Sindh High Court (SHC) had issued notices to the Ministry of Interior, the provincial Home Department, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), and others in response to a petition from Zulfiqar’s wife.
