The federal government on Tuesday announced a significant decrease in the prices of petroleum products as a gift on the account of the Independence Day.
The new rates will be effective from August 14 for second half of August 2024.
The petrol price has been reduced by Rs8.47 and diesel by Rs6.7.
The announcement was made after approval of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
After the reduction, the new petrol price has been fixed at Rs260.96 per litre while diesel will be available for Rs266.7 per litre.
