Exciting new airlines set to launch in Pakistan

Several new airlines are preparing to launch operations across Pakistan, according to reports citing sources within the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

According to CAA sources, local carriers Jet Green, Q Airways, and Go Green Air have submitted applications for the required licenses and permissions.

Air Indus has also applied to the CAA to restart operations, and Q Aviation and Liberty Air have also filed applications for permission to start offering flying services in the country.

The CAA has expressed its gratitude for the flood of applications, pointing out that the addition of new airlines is good news for the economy.

More alternatives for travelers, more foreign exchange revenues in the aviation industry, and job prospects are all anticipated benefits of this expansion.

There are now three private airlines that fly within Pakistan: Airblue, SereneAir, and AirSial. Passengers could expect better service quality and more competitive pricing with the arrival of new rivals.

A six-month performance report of domestic airlines, including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), was released by the CAA back in May.

As per the CAA report for July to December 2023, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) achieved the fourth rank in the rankings with a departure and arrival ratio of 89.32 percent, suggesting potential for additional improvement in operational efficiency.
