The Karachi administration has taken a revolutionary step by introducing a digital domicile system that significantly reduces the time and effort individuals need to obtain their domiciles.
A significant improvement over the previous months-long process and substantial bribes required is that residents can now obtain their domicile within two days for a little Rs 660 thanks to the recently implemented digital domicile system.
Speaking at the opening of the Korangi Deputy Commissioner Office’s Digital Domicile Desk, Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, revealed plans to implement door-to-door domicile distribution throughout all districts.
The proposal seeks to expedite the procedure even more.
The number of documents needed to issue a domicile has been lowered from 15 to 7, according to Deputy Commissioner Korangi Jawad Muzaffar.
Additionally, a QR code has been introduced to prohibit the issuance of fictitious domiciles, guaranteeing immediate verification.
With this digital project, inhabitants and students in Karachi will be able to overcome long-standing difficulties, which will be a huge breakthrough in government and public service.
The action shows how committed the government is to enhancing transparency and administrative effectiveness in the area.
