A common currency has been suggested by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
In his opening remarks at the 23rd Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Heads of Government summit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif suggested that member states should introduce a single currency.
In order to guarantee peace, stability, and socioeconomic growth in the area, the prime minister stated that the shared currency and other economic measures were essential.
To encourage sustainable growth, the prime minister further reaffirmed the backing of his administration for the creation of alternative funding sources.
Address challenges of regional growth, he also demanded that the SCO undergo reforms.
Maintaining the security and stability among its members, Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to setting up a counterterrorism framework inside the SCO.
He underlined that the SCO region will experience wealth and steady development as a result of beneficial cooperation and mutual trust.
“There is enormous potential for socioeconomic development among the SCO member states. Together, we can raise the standard of living for our people and establish peace and stability in the area,” the prime minister said.
