UAE updates medical test requirements for Pakistani visa applicants

Each year, a significant number of foreign and Pakistani people migrate to Dubai and other states in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for work opportunities.

Workers must pass a series of medical tests as part of the visa application procedure in order to be granted a work visa and employment contracts.

These medical tests are essential to guaranteeing the health and safety of both nationals and residents, according to a UAE official, and those who don’t fulfill the necessary health requirements are sent back to their own country.

The United Arab Emirates prioritizes the well-being of its populace, especially with regard to the inflow of international workers.

Adhering to international health standards, the UAE has implemented four necessary medical tests for foreign workers, as highlighted by an official from an Abu Dhabi medical test center. Before new hires may become Emirati workers, these examinations are meant to assess their general health.

Among the four required tests are:

  1. The Complete Blood Count (CBC) is used to identify various illnesses and evaluate general health.
  2. An ultrasound of the chest is used to check for anomalies in the lungs and respiratory system.
  3. To verify employees’ physical suitability for labor-intensive duties.
  4. To track cardiovascular health and spot possible dangers.

In order to expedite this procedure for job searchers and guarantee a superior health evaluation that complies with international standards, a central medical testing facility has also been established.

The UAE’s continuous attempts to improve labor market conditions while protecting the health of both its citizens and foreign workers are seen to include this action.

Completing these required medical tests has become an essential first step for people seeking employment in the UAE, as there are plenty of career opportunities accessible in the Emirati labor market.
