Qaumi Bachat Bank new profit rate on Defence Savings Certificates [Oct 2024]

Qaumi Bachat Bank profit rate for Defence Savings Certificates update February 2024

KARACHI – National Savings launched the Defence Savings Certificates (DSCs) scheme more than five decades ago to meet the financial needs of long term investors and provide them maximum profit.

All Pakistani nationals as well as Overseas Pakistanis are eligible to purchase DSCs being an adult singly, a minor with guardian and two adults jointly, where the payments can be received either by both jointly or any one of the holders.

An adult can also purchase DSC on behalf of a single minor, two minors jointly or as a joint with a minor.

Investment Limit for Defence Certificates

The minimum investment amount for this category is Rs500 while there is no maximum investment limits.

The investment in this category is made for the period of ten years.

Profit Rate for Defence Savings Certificates from October 2024

The revised profit rates for Defence Savings Certificates came into effect in September, 2024. As per the revised policy, the profit rate for this category has been fixed at 12.51 percent.

Payable amount (Principal + Profit ) on Investment of every Rs100,000 on maturity of the certificates:

First year             Rs108,000

Second year       Rs117,000

Third year            Rs127,000

Fourth Year        Rs140,000

Fifth year             Rs156,000

Sixth year            Rs177,000

Seventh year     Rs203,000

Eighth year         Rs235,000

Ninth year           Rs275,000

Tenth year          Rs325,000
