Turkey strikes Kurdish targets in Syria and Iraq following Ankara attack

Turkey targeted suspected Kurdish militants in Syria and Iraq for a second day after a major defense firm was attacked, resulting in at least five deaths, according to the state-run news agency on Thursday.

Using armed drones, the strikes targeted military, intelligence, energy, infrastructure, and ammunition stores, according to the Anadolu Agency.

This operation follows Wednesday’s attacks against comparable sites in Iraq and northern Syria by Turkey’s air force.

These steps came hours after government officials blamed the PKK for a devastating attack on the headquarters of the aerospace and Defense Corporation TUSAS.

Four people were killed in the incident, including a mechanical engineer and a security guard, while more than twenty others were injured.
In order to enter the building, the assault rifle-wielding attackers murdered a cab driver.

Turkish strikes damaged bakeries, power plants, and police checkpoints in Syria, killing 12 people and injuring 25, according to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces.

Since the 1980s, the PKK has been involved in a battle that has claimed tens of thousands of lives, and Turkey and its supporters continue to label the group a terrorist organization.
