Solar panel prices dip by 20% [check latest rates]

The price of solar batteries has dropped in Pakistan after solar panel prices hit a historic low.

Dealers claim that after solar panels, solar battery prices have decreased by 20%. Solar battery and panel prices have significantly dropped across Pakistan, making renewable energy more affordable for households.

A lithium solar battery that previously cost 450,000 PKR is now available for 380,000 PKR, while the price of a 70,000 PKR tubular battery has fallen to 55,000 PKR.

In addition, the price of solar panels has seen a decline despite earlier attempts to increase them.

Large importers had raised prices to 33 PKR per watt, but now the prices are starting to drop. Due to the cold weather and smog, sales in Punjab have been slow, but as temperatures rise and electricity costs soar, demand for solar panels is increasing across the country.

Nationwide, the prices of solar systems, particularly for 5 to 15 kW setups, have dropped dramatically.

A 5 kW solar system, which was previously priced at 0.65 million PKR, is now available for less, while larger systems, such as a 10 kW system, are now priced around 1 million PKR.

These systems offer benefits like reduced electricity bills, increased property value, and lower carbon emissions.
