Eleven high-risk terrorists were arrested by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab, which prevented a significant terrorist assault in Lahore.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) foiled a major terror plan by arresting suspects with weapons, explosives, and maps targeting a government building.
The suspects, linked to banned groups like Fitan-ul-Khawarij, include Zubair, Aslam, Abu Bakr, and others.
In November, CTD carried out 242 intelligence-based operations in Punjab, arresting 34 suspected terrorists in cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, and Bahawalpur.
Additionally, 7,536 combing operations led to 637 arrests and over 235,000 interrogations.
The department reaffirmed its dedication to dismantling terror networks.
On October 17, CTD neutralized 10 terrorists in Mianwali’s Mula Khel area during an operation based on intelligence. Heavy gunfire ensued, but all security personnel remained unharmed.
These efforts highlight CTD’s ongoing commitment to public safety and countering terrorism across Punjab.
