In a recent move to confirm the validity of qualifications, the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has made the decision to verify the educational degrees of all its officers and employees.
This move is part of the KDA’s ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and accountability within the organization. Under the new directive, KDA has instructed these employees to submit their educational degrees for verification by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
To ensure compliance, the KDA has sent a letter to all departmental heads, urging them to ensure that their staff members submit the required documents within the given deadline. In addition to the degrees, employees are also required to provide their birth certificates as part of the verification process.
The KDA has set a seven-day period for completing this process. Failure to submit the necessary documents will result in disciplinary action. This verification initiative is designed to strengthen the KDA’s commitment to integrity, professionalism, and transparency in its operations.
The KDA, established in 1957, is tasked with the planned development of Karachi, taking over from the Karachi Improvement Trust (KIT). Alongside other development authorities, such as the Lyari Development Authority and Malir Development Authority, the KDA plays a significant role in the development of the city’s surrounding undeveloped areas.
This degree verification drive is another step in the KDA’s efforts to uphold professional standards and ensure the credibility of its workforce.
