Khushal Khan appointed new AJK Chief Secretary

The Establishment Division has announced the appointment of Flight Lieutenant (Retd.) Khushal Khan as the new Chief Secretary of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

A BS-21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, Khushal Khan has assumed his new responsibilities with immediate effect. Prior to this appointment, Khushal Khan was serving as an Additional Secretary in the Power Division. His transfer to the AJK government aligns with the provisions of the Karachi Agreement, 1949. 

This move is intended to enhance administrative efficiency and governance in the region. The notification confirmed that Khushal Khan’s services have been placed at the disposal of the AJK government for his new role as Chief Secretary. He will continue in this position until further orders.

This appointment reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring strong leadership in key administrative positions. With his extensive experience in public service, Khushal Khan is expected to contribute significantly to effective governance and the smooth functioning of the AJK administration.
