COAS emphasizes inclusivity, national unity during Christmas church visit

In a gesture symbolizing inclusivity and harmony, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir participated in Christmas celebrations at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cathedral Church, Rawalpindi.

The Christian congregation warmly welcomed the COAS, expressing their gratitude for his solidarity on this festive day. The hosts noted that Gen Munir’s participation reinforced the values of compassion, unity, and goodwill during this cherished occasion.

During his address, General Asim Munir extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to the Christian community across Pakistan. He highlighted that Christmas serves as a reminder of universal values—compassion, generosity, and goodwill—values that strengthen the fabric of Pakistan’s diverse society.

The COAS also acknowledged the Christian community’s invaluable contributions to Pakistan’s progress in cultural, social, economic, and national domains. “The achievements of minorities and the Christian community remain a source of pride and strength for the nation,” according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

General Munir paid a solemn tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, reaffirming his pivotal role in the creation of Pakistan. He praised Jinnah’s visionary leadership and adherence to the principles of Faith, Unity, and Discipline, which continue to inspire nation-building efforts.

“Quaid-e-Azam’s ideals of freedom, equality, and religious tolerance offer a timeless guide to addressing today’s challenges, from safeguarding our borders to fostering internal harmony,” he remarked.

Concluding his address, General Asim Munir urged citizens to honor the legacy of Quaid-e-Azam by striving for a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.

“As we commemorate this festive season, let us reaffirm our collective resolve to transform Pakistan into the nation envisioned by the Quaid,” he emphasized.
