Motorway sections shut due to fog

The authorities concerned have closed the Motorway at various sections as dense fog has significantly reduced visibility.

The Sialkot Motorway (M-11) is fully closed, and traffic has also been suspended on the Lahore to Kot Momin section of the M-2 Motorway. The entire M-3 Motorway is inaccessible and the M-4 Motorway, running from Pindi Bhattian to Abdul Hakeem, remains blocked due to hazardous weather conditions brought on by the thick fog.

Officials have urged travelers to avoid unnecessary journeys in these dangerous conditions and stay updated on the restoration of traffic. Drivers are advised to exercise extreme caution and prioritize safety, as conditions are expected to improve once the fog clears and normal traffic resumes.

In addition to the closures, authorities have deployed rescue and emergency teams along the affected routes to assist any stranded vehicles. The traffic police are also actively monitoring the situation to ensure that no accidents occur due to the reduced visibility. Travelers are also being advised to check weather conditions and road updates before planning their journeys to avoid further inconvenience.
