Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to resume direct flights to Paris on Friday, January 10, 2025, after a hiatus of more than four years marking a significant step in boosting business, tourism, and cultural ties.
The first flight, PK749, will take off from Islamabad airport at 12:00 pm, carrying over 300 passengers. Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, PIA’s Acting CEO Khurram Mushtaq, and the Secretary of Aviation will attend the departure ceremony. The Boeing 777 is fully booked, and the next four flights on this route are also sold out.
PIA is further broadening its operations with new international and domestic routes. Starting January 20, two weekly flights will connect Sialkot to Bahrain. On January 22, Lahore and Dammam will be linked by two weekly flights, while a weekly Lahore-Kuwait service will begin on January 25.
Additionally, PIA will introduce weekly flights from Faisalabad to Jeddah and Sialkot to Doha, starting on January 20 and January 21, respectively. A new weekly route connecting Peshawar and Karachi will also commence on January 25.
Boeing 777 and Airbus a320 aircraft will operate these routes as part of PIA’s expansion strategy. The new services aim to improve connectivity, offer greater convenience for passengers, and reinforce the airline’s presence in both international and domestic markets.
