Maryam Nawaz has revealed important details about the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme and upcoming laptop distribution for deserving students. During her speech at Islamia University in Bahawalpur, the CM emphasized unity and education, launching the Honhaar Scholarship initiative to empower students in the region.
The CM announced that the first shipment of laptops under the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme has arrived and will soon be distributed to eligible students. These Core i7, 13th-generation laptops will be provided to students from both government and private institutions across Punjab, with a focus on empowering female students.
In addition to the laptops, Maryam Nawaz revealed plans to distribute free electric bikes to 100,000 students in Punjab next year. The initiative aims to enhance mobility and educational opportunities for students across the province. Furthermore, 27 electric buses have already arrived at Karachi Port, and an order for 500 more is underway to improve public transportation.
As part of the Chief Minister’s efforts to encourage academic excellence, a total of 3011 students in Bahawalpur have received Rs 177.2 million in scholarships. Additionally, 2000 laptops will be distributed to minority students, and top performers from the Matriculation and Intermediate exams will be honored with laptops and a Guard of Honour.
This initiative aims to support educational progress across Punjab, with scholarships and laptops benefiting students from 30,000 government schools and 10,000 private educational institutions. The Honhaar Scholarship Program will specifically award 18,000 scholarships to female students.
