Following directives from Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provincial government has announced a new initiative to provide interest-free loans to young people residing in popular tourist destinations of the province.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government has made significant decisions to boost tourism in the region, including the permanent appointment of tourism police officers, an increase in their salaries, and the launch of new development projects for tourist sites.
In a recent meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority Board, chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, several key decisions were made. The board agreed to make tourism police officers permanent employees and raise their monthly salary from Rs36000 to Rs45000.
Additionally, the tourism police force will be equipped with heavy bikes and advanced communication tools to enhance their operational efficiency and ensure the safety of tourists. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of discovering new tourist destinations to further boost the province’s tourism sector. He directed officials to add at least four new tourist sites to the upcoming fiscal year’s budget.
This decision follows a successful tourism season, which saw 15 million local and international tourists visit the region. To facilitate the growth of tourism, the Chief Minister also instructed updates to the Thandiani Integrated Tourism Zone plan and ordered the construction of new access roads to improve connectivity to popular tourist destinations.
These measures demonstrate the provincial government’s dedication to strengthening the tourism industry, improving infrastructure, and providing better services to tourists and local communities.
