Matric and Inter 2025 exam dates announced

The Punjab Education Department has announced the schedule for the 2025 Matriculation and Intermediate exams, following the reopening of schools and educational institutions.

The academic calendar for 2025-26, covering the period from January 15 to May 31, has been released, outlining key dates for admissions and examinations in the Rawalpindi division. The new academic year will begin on April 1, with admissions for junior classes, including Prep, Nursery, and Class I, starting on February 3.

Examination Schedule

• Matric Exams: March 4 onward
• Class IX Exams: Begin on March 21
• Intermediate Exams: Scheduled for the first week of May
• Annual Exams for Classes I to VIII: From March 12 to March 25, with results announced on March 31

Admissions in Government Schools

Phase 1: April 1 to May 31 for Classes I and II

Phase 2: August 15 to October 31 for additional enrollments

To maintain class sizes, government school admissions will be limited to 10% of the total capacity per class.

Private Schools

Abrar Ahmad Khan, President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association (APPSMA), stated that private schools will commence new admissions on February 1. Their annual exams will take place in February, with the new academic year starting in March.
