The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms in certain parts of the country.
Parts of the country are likely to experience a mix of weather conditions, as per the latest forecast from the Meteorological Department. Upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and north-east Balochistan are expected to remain partly cloudy with chances of rain, strong winds, thundershowers, and even hailstorms in some areas.
In Islamabad and nearby regions, cloudy skies may bring rain, wind, and thunderstorms, while Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, and Lahore in upper Punjab are also likely to receive rainfall.
Most areas of Punjab will remain hot and dry during the day, although upper districts could see some cloud cover and rainfall. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, weather experts predict rain with thunderstorms in Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Peshawar, along with gusty winds.
Sindh will continue to face extreme heat and dry weather, with temperatures expected to stay high across the province. Southern Balochistan will also remain dry with rising temperatures, though Quetta and Zhob could witness wind and rain in the afternoon. In Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, the forecast shows partly cloudy skies with occasional rainfall and strong winds in certain areas.
Authorities advise the public, especially in regions facing thunderstorms and hail, to stay cautious and avoid unnecessary travel. Farmers have also been alerted to secure their crops as weather changes could impact harvesting.
These weather shifts mark the beginning of transitional seasonal patterns, with sudden temperature drops and rainfall expected in many northern and hilly areas over the coming days.
