Student caught cheating board paper in car

The son of the PSO of a private housing society was caught solving the 9th board paper while sitting in the car in Lahore.

In a surprising incident, a student was caught attempting his Class 9 Physics exam inside a car outside the Government High School Ali Razaabad. The action came during an unannounced visit by Punjab’s Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, who was accompanied by Controller of Examinations Zahid Mian.

The student, identified as Syed Muhammad Abu Bakr Hashmi, was seated in a vehicle during the paper. Zahid Mian revealed that this was not the first time the student had used this method to appear in exams, raising serious concerns about exam integrity.

Following the discovery, the Controller of Examinations took immediate action and suspended five staff members. These included Headmaster Muhammad Shahid Baig, Superintendent Abdul Hafeez, the Deputy Superintendent, and two other supervisors. A formal complaint has been registered against them, and an inquiry is now underway.

Additionally, a case of using unfair means (UMC) has been filed against the student involved.

Meanwhile, BISE Lahore has begun distributing roll number slips for the 2025 first annual exams. All regular and private students have been advised to download their slips as they are essential for entering the exam centre.

Officials have warned that no student will be allowed to sit for exams without their roll number slip. These slips contain key details like paper timings, exam centre addresses, and individual date sheets. Zahid Mian highlighted that the QR code system on the slips has been effective in blocking unauthorized entries and helping maintain exam transparency.
