SHC accepts bail plea of actor Sajid Hasan’s son

The Sindh High Court on Friday granted bail to Sahir Hassan, son of veteran actor Sajid Hassan, in a drug recovery case, directing him to submit a surety bond worth Rs1 million.

The bail was granted after hearing arguments from both the defence and prosecution, with the accused directed to submit a surety bond of one million rupees. The case involves serious narcotics charges. According to the investigation, the accused allegedly confessed to transferring drug-related earnings into a bank account managed by his father’s manager. An interim challan was submitted to the Judicial Magistrate South last month, highlighting these financial links.

The manager was summoned to court and asked to provide relevant bank records to prove his innocence. However, so far, no supporting documents or statements have been presented by him. Earlier, police had arrested four individuals, including Sajid Hasan’s son, from the Defence area of Karachi. The FIR mentioned that the accused was carrying a black bag at the time of arrest, which contained five packets of narcotics. A digital scale, mobile phone, cash, and other items were also recovered from his possession.

The police have registered a case under strict anti-narcotics laws, and further investigation is ongoing. Authorities are working to verify financial transactions and trace links to any wider network. While the court has granted temporary relief in the form of bail, the case remains active and the next steps depend on the submission of financial evidence and continued investigation.

The incident has sparked public attention due to the involvement of a celebrity’s family, and the legal process will be closely watched in the coming weeks.
