Six of same family killed in Peshawar domestic dispute

Six members of a single family were shot dead in a house in the Khatko Pul area of Peshawar, while a woman sustained injuries in the attack, police said on Monday.

According to SP Raza Muhammad, armed men opened fire using Kalashnikov rifles in a targeted attack.  The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where several people from the same family, including women, were seriously injured. The victims were rushed in critical condition to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), where they are under treatment. The attackers fled the scene after the shooting. Police have launched an investigation, and efforts are ongoing to trace the suspects.

In another heartbreaking case in Punjab, a 12-year-old boy, Muhammad Zaki, was shot dead near Burewala. Zaki, a Hafiz-e-Quran student, had gone with friends to bathe at a tube well to get relief from the hot weather. While sitting near the water tank, he was suddenly fired upon by a man named Tariq Dogar. 

The bullets hit Zaki in the hand and legs. At first, the children thought it was a firecracker, but when they saw Zaki collapse, they realized it was a shooting. The suspect tried to flee with Zaki’s body but was forced to hand him over to his son after locals raised an alarm. The child was taken to the hospital, but doctors confirmed he had passed away. After the tragic confirmation, the suspect’s son also left the hospital.

Police have registered the case, and the suspect is currently at large. Both incidents have caused panic and sorrow among the public, with authorities intensifying search operations to arrest those responsible.
