In celebration of Independence Day and the “Marka-e-Haq”, a musical night will be held at the National Stadium Karachi.
Karachi traffic police have announced a special traffic and parking plan for the upcoming event at the National Stadium. Vehicles with special stickers will be allowed entry through Gate No. 1 and Gate No. 11. Visitors can park their vehicles at Expo Centre and China Ground, where shuttle services will transport them to the stadium. Traffic police have warned of heavy traffic on National Stadium Road and Sir Shah Suleman Road, advising citizens to use alternate routes. Buses, minibuses, and other commercial vehicles will be diverted to different roads, while heavy traffic will be banned from the area. Citizens are urged to cooperate with law enforcement and avoid parking on service roads to maintain smooth traffic flow.
The event is part of the commemoration of Marka-e-Haq, also known as Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, a major four-day military engagement between Pakistan and India from 7 to 10 May 2025. The conflict began after India launched strikes in Pakistan, killing 40 civilians, including women and children, on the night of 6–7 May. These attacks followed a Pahalgam false flag operation on 22 April. In response, Pakistan’s armed forces launched Marka-e-Haq to counter Indian aggression, defend national sovereignty, restore strategic balance, and deter further escalation. The operation also aimed to showcase national unity and resilience.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that May 10 will be observed annually as Marka-e-Haq Day to honour the bravery of Pakistan’s armed forces and the achievements of the operation. The anniversary will be marked with events nationwide, including the gathering at the National Stadium, which will feature special security and traffic arrangements.
