Court gives relief to Aroob Jatoi in gambling matter

A sessions court on Wednesday granted interim bail to YouTuber Ducky Bhai’s wife, Aroob Jatoi, in a case related to the promotion of gambling content on social media.

A Lahore court has granted interim bail to Aroob Jatoi in connection with her husband Saad-ur-Rehman’s case, restricting police from arresting her until August 30. Additional Session Judge heard the plea, while counsels Irfan Kalyat and Raja Abdul Rehman Ranjha represented the petitioner. The court directed Aroob Jatoi to cooperate with the investigation and ordered the investigating officer to submit a progress report at the next hearing.

Meanwhile, Saad-ur-Rehman, who was arrested on Sunday at Lahore airport, remains in the custody of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). Earlier this week, a local court extended his physical remand by four days after reviewing the request of the investigating officer. Investigating Officer Shoaib Riaz had sought a 28-day remand, alleging that Saad-ur-Rehman is linked to an international gambling syndicate. However, the court granted remand only until August 23.

Authorities claim that the case involves serious cybercrime-related charges and possible links to illegal betting networks. Investigators are also focusing on gathering digital evidence and identifying associates who may be connected to the alleged syndicate. The legal proceedings have drawn attention due to the high-profile nature of the arrests and the alleged cross-border dimensions of the case. Officials believe that more suspects may be questioned in the coming days as the investigation moves forward.
