ISPR Chief issues stern warning over anti-army propaganda

The Director General of ISPR has strongly criticized individuals who, according to him, are attacking the country’s own army and creating negative narratives.

He stated that the same person involved in recent criticism had earlier been linked to the attack on GHQ, adding that such actions only harm national unity and security. He also noted that the person’s social media activity shows clear influence from separatist figures, including Pakistan’s historical traitor Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The DG ISPR said this influence reflects a dangerous trend and warned that the time for misleading the public through false claims is coming to an end.

While addressing the current political environment, he pointed out that the concerned political group already has a provincial government in place. Despite this, they continue to focus on criticizing the army rather than addressing real public issues. He emphasized that such behavior affects governance and distracts attention from the challenges facing ordinary citizens. The DG ISPR stressed that national institutions must be respected and political differences should not be turned into attacks on the armed forces. He added that responsible leadership requires solving public problems, improving governance, and working for stability instead of promoting division.

These remarks come at a time when political tensions are rising and social media debates are intensifying. Security officials believe that misinformation campaigns weaken national unity and benefit hostile elements. They have urged political leaders to show maturity and avoid actions that damage state institutions. The ISPR continues to highlight the importance of constructive dialogue and responsible politics, reminding all stakeholders that national interest must remain above personal or party agendas.
