Meteorological experts predict rain with strong winds and thunderstorms across most parts of Pakistan from today through April 4.
Karachi faces heavy downpours tonight until April 3, where some areas could see 50 mm or more of rain. In Lahore, dark clouds parted after intense rainfall, with Nishtar Town recording the highest downpour of 50 mm. Hailstorms battered spots like Gulberg, Jail Road, Gajumata, and Raiwind. The heavy rain, gusty winds, and ice pellets brought pleasant cool weather but caused major disruptions.
Power outages struck as over 170 feeders tripped in the LESCO region. Tragedy unfolded in Kot Radha Kishan when a collapsing wall killed two children and injured five others. People now scramble to restore electricity and clear debris amid the chaos. Balochistan suffers too, with rain and hail triggering floods in rivers and canals across Ziarat, Daki, Harnai, Qala Saifullah, and Loralai districts. Flash floods sweep away everything in their path, forcing residents to higher ground.
In the north, landslides block the Neelum Highway from Kel Seri in Neelum Valley. Authorities close the road to prevent accidents as rocks and mud pile up. These storms bring relief from heat but spark dangers like floods, outages, and road blocks. Stay indoors, avoid flooded areas, and follow local alerts for safety. The weather service urges caution as more rain threatens until early April.
