Kuwait and Pakistan Discuss Strengthening Military Cooperation

Kuwaiti and Pakistani military officials met to discuss ways to strengthen defence cooperation.

Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraian, Chief of the Kuwaiti Army, met Brigadier Naveed Abbas. He is the Director General of Military Operations for the Pakistan Army. They discussed various topics during the visit to Kuwait.

Both sides looked at shared interests. They agreed to work together more on training, joint exercises, and sharing information. They discussed how to improve interoperability and strengthen coordination during regional security challenges. Officials called the talks constructive. They focused on practical steps to strengthen military ties.

The meeting reflects growing defence engagement between the two countries. Delegations talked about improving their working relationships. They focused on building skills in logistics, communications, and disaster response. They stressed the need for regular talks and follow-up visits. This helps turn ideas into action. Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower has launched a new digital service.

Now, partners can renew work permits online through the Ashal Services portal. The authority said the new tool simplifies the renewal process for eligible workers. They can do this without intermediaries or lengthy paperwork. It aims to save time, increase transparency, and improve access to public services.

Military talks focus on boosting regional stability. Digital services work to simplify labor processes. Analysts say both moves could improve operational efficiency and bilateral relations over time.
