ISLAMABAD – A shocking discovery has been made by the SNGPL Task force. An illegal and unauthorised gas pipeline stretching to 1.5 kilometres has been discovered in the village of Japan Road, Kangota Syedan, Islamabad.
SNGPL’s task force in an investigation have discovered that a society has been using an illegal 1.5 kilometre gas pipeline. The illegal pipeline was connected directly to the main supply line of SNGPL.
An official from the SNGPL stated that the Federal Investigation Agency has now initiated legal actions against the individuals who are responsible for establishing an illegal gas pipeline.

Sources suggest that a joint operation by FIA and SNGPL’s task force was conducted to control the theft of natural gas in Pakistan. In response, they discovered an illegal pipeline stretching 1500 metres, connected to the main supply line of SNGPL. The pipeline was connected to a private housing society near the village Kangota Syedan on Japan Road, Islamabad.
Moreover, alongside the pipeline there were also unauthorised gas meters in the housing society. The pipeline has now been dismantled and the unauthorised gas meters have been taken into custody as well. The FIA has now started their initial legal proceedings against the culprits.
