UAE – The Government of UAE has given instructions to its residents on reporting of stolen lost cell phon devices to the proepr authorities.

Residents are urged to contact their Network providor first and get their phone blocked from them using the Telecom number and the phoe’s IMEI number.

Residents are to advised to contact their Telecom providor as soon as possible as SIM cards should be the first thing to be blocked.

To do so, residents of UAE need to contact the emergency helplines of their desginataed network provided.

Etisalaat Customers – Dial 101 to call the helpline to get your SIM blocked

DU Customers – Dial 155 to call the helpline and get your SIM blocked.

Users of Virgin app are advsied to download their app and open the chat widget as soon as possible to report their stolen device.

Here’s How to Report Lost Mobile Phone in UAE in 2024

Once you have reported to your service provided, they will ask for the IMEI number of your device. The IMEI number is also written on the box of the device.

Once you give their your IMEI number, thwy will block the device so it canot be used for Network access.

However, in case you have found your device, you will need to ask them to reactivate it which will take an additional 24 hours before you can use network services.

File a Stolen Device Police Report

Apart from contacting your administrator, you should also either contact the relevant police station or visit one.

File a stolen mobile phone police report, and provide all the necessary credentials for it as well for device verification.

Abu Dhabi – For Abu Dhabi, dpwnload the TAMM app or contact at 8003333

Sharjah – For Sharjah, contact the police helpline at 901 or download the MOI app to report your lost device.
