SULTAN – In a significant development, the authorities in Kazakhstan have revealed that the country is set to sign an agreement on a visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports with Bahrain.
According to reports, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nurtleu Murat, will represent the Government of Kazakhstan in signing the agreement with the Government of Bahrain.
The agreement aimed to exempt holders of diplomatic passports from visa requirements, facilitating seamless travel between the two countries. This move is expected to bolster cooperation and strengthen ties between Kazakhstan and Bahrain.
The visa-free period for diplomatic passport holders will not exceed 90 days, allowing for extended diplomatic engagements and collaboration between the two nations.
The adoption of this agreement underscored Kazakhstan’s commitment to fostering closer diplomatic relations with Bahrain and promoting mutual cooperation in various fields. With diplomatic barriers removed, both countries can expect increased interaction and collaboration at the diplomatic level.
Kazakhstan, with a population of around 18 million, boasts diverse landscapes from the cosmopolitan Almaty to the historic Silk Road city of Turkistan. Its economy relies heavily on oil, gas, and minerals, supplemented by agriculture and manufacturing. The nation focuses on diversification and infrastructure development to sustain economic growth.
On the other hand, Bahrain is an island nation in the Persian Gulf, has a population of approximately 1.5 million. Notable places include the capital, Manama, known for its modern skyline and historic sites like the Bahrain Fort. The economy thrives on oil, banking, tourism, and manufacturing, with a focus on diversification and attracting foreign investment.
