Minimum Fidya and Fitrana amount in Pakistan for Ramadan 2024

ISLAMABAD – The Government of Pakistan has announced that the minimum Fitrana and Fidya for fasting in Ramadan 2024 was set at Rs300 per person, roughly equivalent to the price of two kilograms of wheat flour in the country.

Fidya amount is paid to needy people for not observing a fast due to health and other issues. Affluent can give Fiday in accordance with their financial strength.

The values have been set at Rs600 for oats, Rs2,400 for dates and Rs4,400 for raisin as Fidya for skipping a roza.

Similarly, the Fidya rates for skipping all 30 fasts of Ramadan are Rs9,000 for wheat flour, Rs18,000 for oats, Rs72,000 for dates, and Rs132,000 for raisins.

Furthermore, minimum Fitrana amount has been fixed at Rs3,00 by the government while the affluent can follow the Fidya schedule for dates, raisins and oats.

Travelers and those temporarily unable to fast were obligated to make up for missed fasts in next months.
