ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts rain, wind, and thunderstorms, along with light snowfall in hilly areas, for Rawalpindi, Islamabad.
Furthermore, areas like Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to be under rainfall and snowfall on Thursday and Friday.
This weather pattern is attributed to continental air prevailing over most parts of the country, with a weak westerly wave expected to enter the upper regions on Thursday evening and move east by Friday.
As a result of these conditions, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms, with light snowfall in mountainous areas during these two days.

However, dry weather is expected in the other regions of the country.
Moreover, Islamabad’s minimum temperatures are expected to range between 8-10 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 9-11 degrees Celsius on Friday.
Furthermore, Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures are forecasted to be between 12-14 degrees Celsius on both days.
Over the past 24 hours, dry weather prevailed in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and most parts of the country. Chhor recorded the highest temperature nationwide at 41 degrees Celsius.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was 30 degrees Celsius, with a relative humidity of 74 percent during the evening.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature reached 29 degrees Celsius, with a relative humidity of 46 percent during the evening.
