Apni Chhat Apna Ghar, Kisan Card get cabinet nod

LAHORE: The Punjab cabinet has approved several multi-billion-rupee projects.

According to details, a meeting of the provincial cabinet with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in the chair on Tuesday gave its nod to ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ and ‘Kisan Card’ with authorities eyeing August 14 as the tentative date to launch the housing initiative.

Moreover, the cabinet approved a proposed increase in the allowance of doctors at Tehsil headquarters hospitals, rural health centers and basic health units. Officials concerned told the cabinet that doctors would Rs7000, 7500 and 8000 as their allowances for night duties on the basis of their seniority.in addition to a daily petrol allowance of Rs1,000 for being posted in remote areas. 

Finally, the cabinet green-lit revisions to the Punjab Sikh Anand Karaj Marriage Registrar Rules 2024, and Punjab Sikh Anand Karaj Marriage Rules 2024. Minister for Minorities Affairs Ramesh Singh noted that the Sikh marriage act was the first of its kind in Punjab and that no other province in the world had marriage acts for Sikh communities.
