Fire destroys multiple shops at Sunday Bazaar in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: A fire at a Sunday Bazaar in the federal capital has destroyed multiple shops.

According to details, the blaze broke at a Sunday Bazaar on Peshawar Mor in the H-9 Sector Wednesday. Rescue 1122 officials, as well as civil and military personnel reached the site to put off the fire.

The Islamabad District Administration asked the fire brigade department to send in more firefighting vehicles to combat the blaze. The extent of the damage wasn’t known at the time of this writing.

Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi took notice of the incident. The minister ordered CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa to reach the site of the accident.

Moreover, the minister has directed the departments concerned to utilize every possible resource at their disposal to put out the fire in addition to seeking a detailed report from Commissioner Islamabad.
