Man gunned down in broad daylight shooting in Islamabad’s I-8 Markaz

A brazen daylight shooting in Islamabad’s Sector I-8 Markaz on Friday morning claimed the life of Qamar Raja, a resident of Mandi Bahauddin. The shocking incident unfolded when gunmen in a Hilux vehicle opened fire on Raja’s car.

Eyewitnesses reported that after being shot at, Raja attempted to flee on foot. He sought refuge in a nearby building in I-8 Markaz, but the gunmen followed him, dragged him out, and shot him dead at point-blank range before fleeing the scene.

Police sources suggest the attack may be connected to an old family feud, although investigations are still ongoing. A case has been registered against the unidentified attackers.

The incident has sparked security concerns among Islamabad residents, raising questions about the city’s safety. Authorities are continuing their investigation to bring the culprits to justice.
