The Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) retake is scheduled for December 8, the Sindh health department announced on Wednesday.
The Sindh MDCAT retake is set to take place on December 8, following a Sindh High Court order to address concerns about the compromised September 22 test.
The court directed the Sindh government to cover all expenses for the retake and assigned Sukkur IBA Testing Services to conduct the exam.
The test will be held at eight centres across Sindh, including three in Karachi and one each in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, and Nawabshah.
Over 38,600 students are expected to participate in the retake, ensuring fair opportunities for all candidates.
The Sindh cabinet approved Rs232.14 million for the retake, allowing candidates from the previous test to appear without additional fees.
This decision followed allegations of a paper leak during the initial exam, which prompted an investigation and the subsequent retake directive.
The provincial health department has been tasked with ensuring the smooth conduct of the revised test, aiming to restore confidence in the examination process for medical and dental college admissions.
