Pakistan’s first tier-4 data centre gets Punjab CM’s approval

Chief Minister of the Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif has given in-principle approval to establish Pakistan’s first Tier Four data center at the Nawaz Sharif Information Technology City in Lahore.

She assigned the Central Business District the responsibility of bringing more international university campuses to the IT City.

She instructed officials to ensure the swift completion of the Nawaz Sharif IT City Twin Towers.

During the meeting, it was revealed that universities from China, England, and other countries are set to establish campuses in the IT City.

Notably, Buckinghamshire University and Imperial College London have expressed readiness to open their campuses.

Additionally, an Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology University will be developed in collaboration with international institutions, enhancing the IT City’s global educational appeal.

The Nawaz Sharif IT City project aims to position Lahore as a hub for innovation, technology, and education on an international scale.
