The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) took decisive action on Sunday, apprehending three female beggars at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport for posing as Umrah pilgrims in an apparent attempt to carry out illegal activities in Saudi Arabia.
During routine checks at Karachi airport, the FIA team became suspicious when the women failed to provide return tickets and hotel bookings, which are essential for Umrah pilgrims.
The authorities revealed that these women had previously been stopped at Lahore airport under similar circumstances but had avoided detention.
After their arrest in Karachi, the women were handed over to the FIA’s Anti-Smuggling Circle for further investigation.
This operation is part of the FIA’s ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and exploitation.
In a similar case in Lahore, four individuals, including two women and two men, were arrested by the FIA’s anti-human trafficking cell for attempting to exploit vulnerable people for illegal purposes.
The FIA has strengthened its crackdown on human trafficking networks and is working to protect individuals from exploitation.
These efforts aim to maintain the integrity of religious travel, ensuring that genuine pilgrims are not affected by illegal schemes.
The agency is committed to safeguarding citizens and preventing unlawful activities that exploit vulnerable individuals.
The investigation is ongoing, with the FIA continuing to take action against illegal migration and trafficking networks to uphold international travel standards and protect the rights of travelers.
