Karachi cop robbed at gunpoint

Saudabad Police have registered a case after two armed men robbed a Special Branch officer of his government-issued motorcycle and mobile phone. The officer, identified as Akbar serves as a head constable in the Intelligence Special Branch at Malir City Police Station.

According to Akbar’s statement to the police, the incident occurred on Monday morning while he was on his way to work. Two men on an unregistered 125cc motorcycle stopped him under the Malir City Bridge on the National Highway. They threatened him at gunpoint, forcibly took his government motorcycle and mobile phone, and fled the scene.

The Saudabad Police have registered case No. 04/2025 under Section 397 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which covers armed robbery. The investigation has been handed over to the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (Landi Division). However, there has been no trace of the stolen motorcycle so far.

Authorities are actively investigating the case and collecting evidence to track down the perpetrators. Updates on the progress of the investigation are expected soon.
