The German Consulate in Karachi has announced new timings for the passport collection during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the new schedule, passport collection will be available from Monday to Thursday between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm. These timings will remain in effect for one month.
Meanwhile, Pakistani citizens planning to visit Germany must apply for a Schengen short-term visa. The German Embassy in Pakistan handles visa applications for both Pakistani and Afghan nationals, as well as for legal residents in the country.
Germany has become a popular tourist destination due to its rich history, cultural heritage, and scenic landscapes. However, Pakistani passport holders require a visa before traveling. To apply, they need to submit essential documents, including a completed application form, a valid passport issued within the last ten years, a recent passport-sized photograph, and biometric data if not previously registered in the Visa Information System.
Germany has been actively granting visas for various categories, including tourism, work, and skilled labor. Recently, it set a target to issue 200,000 visas for skilled workers, offering employment opportunities for qualified professionals.
The temporary adjustment in passport collection timings aims to facilitate visitors during Ramadan while maintaining consular services.
