KP sees fresh gas discovery by Mari Energies

The newest discovery originates from the Hangu Formation, succeeding a previous find in the Kawagarh Formation.

Mari Energies has discovered a significant gas reserve in the Waziristan Block, producing 23.85 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas and 122 barrels per day (bbl/day) of condensate.

The production was recorded at a 32/64″ choke with a Well Head Flowing Pressure (WHFP) of 4,042 psig.

Mari Energies holds a 55% working interest in the block, while Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) owns 35%, and Orient Petroleum Inc. has a 10% stake.

The company is conducting further tests on additional formations to evaluate the well’s full potential.
