The residents of the federal capital are enjoying light rainfall following a hot day, offering them much-needed relief from the heat.
Earlier in the day, temperatures soared as high as 33 degrees Celsius. However, the weather took a cooler turn in the evening, with the minimum temperature expected to drop to around 22 degrees Celsius.
Humidity levels in the city remained between 45% to 50%, while gentle winds blew from the northwest at a speed of 14 km/h. Despite the slight rainfall, the chance of further precipitation today is limited to just 5%.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), dry weather is expected to continue across most parts of the country in the coming days. However, residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi can expect partly cloudy skies, creating a more comfortable atmosphere than the recent heat spell.
The Met Office forecast suggests an overall improvement in weather conditions, although no significant rainfall is predicted. Citizens are advised to stay hydrated and take light precautions during warmer daytime hours.
Today’s weather snapshot for Islamabad showed a current temperature of 26 degrees Celsius, with humidity at 47% and only a minimal chance of rain.
As summer gradually takes hold, the temporary shift in weather has brought a moment of comfort. Meanwhile, authorities will keep monitoring changes in climate patterns to provide timely updates for residents of the twin cities.
