KP govt opens applications for new job vacancies

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced vacancies for Chairmen, Secretaries, and Controllers of Examinations in the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) across the province.

According to the official notification, permanent employees of the Establishment Department, Elementary and Secondary Education Department, and Higher Education Department can apply for these positions. The available posts include Chairman for BISE Abbottabad and Malakand, Secretary for BISE Bannu and Swat, and Controller of Examinations for BISE Bannu.

Applicants must meet strict conditions before applying. Candidates should be permanent employees in the relevant BPS grade, under 56 years of age by the application deadline, and free of any disciplinary cases. The selection process will follow a transparent merit system that considers professional experience, academic background, specialized training, and past performance evaluations. A competitive interview will also test candidates’ technical knowledge, leadership ability, governance skills, communication strength, and problem-solving capacity.

Officials stated that the initiative aims to ensure that competent and deserving officers are appointed to lead these education boards, which play a vital role in maintaining standards of examinations and academic governance across the province. The government highlighted that the step reflects its commitment to improving the education sector by strengthening the administrative structure of examination boards. By appointing qualified professionals through a fair and open process, the department seeks to enhance credibility, transparency, and efficiency in the academic system.
