The security forces have killed 31 terrorists associated with the Indian-backed Fitna Al Khwarij in two separate operations conducted across Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to ISPR, the first operations took place on September 13 and 14 in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts. In Lakki Marwat, troops engaged the militants after receiving reports of their presence. Following an intense exchange of fire, 14 Khwarij were killed. In another operation in Bannu, security forces neutralized 17 more militants. ISPR stated that sanitization operations are underway to clear the areas from any remaining militants. It reaffirmed that Pakistan’s forces are fully determined to eliminate the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country.
Earlier, two major encounters were reported in Bajaur and South Waziristan. In Bajaur, troops conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in which 22 Khwarij were killed after heavy firing. Meanwhile, in South Waziristan, security forces neutralized 13 more militants during a separate engagement. However, the operations also came with sacrifices. During the South Waziristan clash, 12 soldiers fought bravely and embraced martyrdom. ISPR paid tribute to their courage, saying they gave their lives to protect the nation.
With these operations, security forces have eliminated at least 66 militants in recent days across multiple districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Officials stressed that counterterrorism efforts will continue until the complete eradication of terrorist elements. The recent actions highlight Pakistan’s ongoing resolve against militancy, as forces remain active in clearing dangerous areas. Authorities have assured that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not go in vain and the fight against terrorism will be carried forward with full strength.
