PCB names 15-Member women’s squad for major T20 events

Fatima Sana will lead Pakistan’s women’s team in the tri-series in Ireland and the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England and Wales, the PCB announced today.

The Women’s National Selection Committee named a 15-member Pakistan squad for the upcoming tri-series in Dublin and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Fatima Sana will captain the side, leading Pakistan into her second consecutive T20 World Cup after guiding the team in 2024. The tri-series in Dublin runs from 28 May to 4 June and features Ireland and the West Indies; Pakistan will play four matches as final preparation before the World Cup.

Pakistan recently completed a 3-0 T20I series sweep against Zimbabwe in Karachi, helping to build momentum and match readiness. Consequently, selectors included a balanced mix of experienced players and promising youngsters to strengthen batting, pace and spin options. The 15-player squad includes Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Diana Baig, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Iram Javed, Muneeba Ali Siddiqui (wk), Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Pervaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadia Iqbal, Saira Jabeen, Tasmia Rubab and Tuba Hassan.

Moreover, the committee named six reserves: Amber Kainat, Momina Riasat, Sadaf Shamas, Sidra Amin, Syeda Aroob Shah and Umm-e-Hani. Pakistan will play two warm-up matches ahead of the World Cup, facing Sri Lanka on 6 June and Scotland on 9 June in Derby. The World Cup group stage opens with Pakistan facing India on 14 June in Birmingham, followed by matches against South Africa (17 June), Bangladesh (20 June), Australia (23 June) and the Netherlands (27 June).
