The Lahore Electric Supply Company said it won’t do load shedding during Eid al-Adha.
LESCO consumers will receive uninterrupted power in their areas, according to officials. The aim of this move is to enable people to celebrate Eid without worrying about power.
The head of the LESCO managing director Engineer Muhammad Ramzan Butt, announced that LESCO is prepared for the holiday season. Proper preparations have been made in case of emergency. Field staff members will be on heightened alert to respond rapidly to complaints.
Furthermore, LESCO has stipulated that any transformers that had been overloaded or had suffered from a fault had to be replaced urgently. This action is to seek to avoid disruption of transmission. The company also put a plan in place to fix overbilling, tackle electricity theft, and improve slow connections. Thus, for many customers, the reliability of the service should be enhanced.
In the region, electricity demand has increased due to the high heat. So, authorities stressed preparing for increased loads “with caution,” they said. They also stated that the maintenance teams will watch the network 24 hours a day.
As a result, chances of unforeseen outages should fall during the festival. LESCO plans to provide a 24-hour supply during the summer, it said. The company urged customers to reach out via specific helplines if they have a problem. This will enable field teams to resolve issues quicker.
