Students-attempting-exam

SINDH – A good news for the Matric and Inter students of Sindh as the Sindh High Court (SHC) has turned down the plea of Education boards to demand examination fees from students for the provision of certificates.

The Sindh High Court had already barred the Education Boards from taking examination fees from students upon which the Assistant Advocate General made another plea to the court.

However, the Sindh High Court remained resolute to its decision and did not allow the Boards to demand fees from students due to budget allotment since 2017.

The court has argued that the boards are allocated a budget each year and demanding fees for examination and certificates from students is unfair to them.

Upon this the review from the boards has been heard and the decision of Sindh High Court still stands as no fees will be collected by Boards for examination and provision of certificates.

However, amidst this issue, a new issue has also caught the eye of the general public as students of Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) are protesting for unfair marking.

Many students can not believe that they have failed and they are paying Rs 400 for scrutiny of their papers.

A committee has been set up to investigate the matter and find out why the majority of students are complaining about unfair marking.
