Traffic Plan for 23rd March, Pakistan Day by Islamabad Traffic Police

ISLAMABAD – As 23rd of March (Pakistan Day) is approaching, the ITP has introduced a robust traffic plan for the day due to the 23rd March rehearsal and parade scheduled ahead.

With an aim to ensure the smooth flow of traffic across the federal capital, a plan has been suggested by the ITP for Pakistan Day.

According to the traffic plan, all heavy traffic will not be allowed to enter the federal capital on 17th, 19th, 21st, and 23rd of March from 12:00 am to 2:00 am.

This is done to ensure that the preparation for the parade related activities and parade day are not halted due to traffic issues and go as planned.

Alternative routes will be given to traffic so they can divert and reach their destinations such as the Saddar road, Koral chowk, and Khanna Bridge.

According to ITP’s plan, all the traffic coming from Lahore will be liable to use the Rawalpindi Saddar road and head towards Peshawar GT Road to access the motorway from there.

Furthermore, the traffic coming from Koral chowk will be given access to enter the capital from Khanna Bridge to Lethrar Road and further into Park road.

Motorway police has also suggested that for smaller vehicles like cars, they can be diverted from Kashmir chowk towards Barakahu which will ensure a much more laminar and smooth flow of traffic.

Furthermore, according to the ITP’s plan as of yet, Faizabad will be out of bounds for all LTV and HTV and the passageway will not be used for any traffic.
